Charity is at the heart of Freemasonry. The three Great Principles by which we stand are Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth.
Freemasons are taught to practise charity and to care, not only for their own, but also for the community as a whole, both by charitable giving, and by voluntary efforts and works as individuals.
The Wyggeston Lodge No.3448 is proud to give aid to the local community and has donated money to the following charities:
SmileTrain – Provides free cleft surgery for millions of poor children in developing countries and cleft-related training for doctors and medical professionals
The Leicestershire and Rutland Organisation for the Relief of Suffering (LOROS) - Provides care and support within Leicestershire and Rutland.
St Dunstan’s - Provides lifelong support for blind and visually impaired ex-Service men and women
Leicester Children’s Holiday Centre - Provides free holidays to disadvantaged children in Mablethorpe, Lincolnshire
Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance - Brings senior doctors and consultants to the scene of incidents as quickly as possible, and then conveys its patients to specialist hospitals that can help specific injuries
The Wyggeston Lodge No.3448 also support the Masonic charities:

To make donations, grants or subscriptions to the four central Masonic charities (The Freemasons' Grand Charity, The Royal Masonic Trust for Girls and Boys, The Masonic Samaritan Fund, The Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution)
